Team Swamp Things
This year I will be running a 5K for the Rivkin SummeRun & Walk benefiting ovarian cancer research.
I run in honor of our dear friend Lisa Glomb who died in 2015 from this horrific disease. Lisa was a brilliant and hilarious Seattle theatre artist who had been a close part of our lives for over 30 years.
I run in honor of Nancy Lee, a beautiful and talented graphic and theatre artist who is currently battling recurrence.
I run in honor of Linda Withington, who died in 2012 after multiple surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy. Linda did gorgeous landscape design and we shared our love of our dancing boys.
I run in honor of Anne Culver, who died in 2012 and was a childhood friend. Anne was a painter on the East Coast and her paintings hang on our living room walls. She painted tornados and volcanos after her first husband died of lung cancer; she painted rooms filling with water when she was dying.
Please consider supporting me this year by either donating, joining my team, or both. Every person who joins is helping make a positive impact on ovarian cancer research.
